Name : Jaclyn
Rating: 5 Stars
Jaclyn had all of her teeth pulled in November 2013. She had several health problems, including Sjogren’s, dilated cardiomyopathy, epilepsy, lupus, thyroid cancer, and a blood clotting disorder. She needed to have her teeth pulled due to the Sjogren’s. All of her teeth had root canals done on them, and she was missing several molars. The dentist advised pulling all of her teeth at one time, and she felt it was a terrible decision. After her teeth were pulled, the dentist made at least five pairs of dentures and none of them worked for her. After eight months, the dentist told her that she would need to have her jaw bone “shaved” in order to ever wear dentures. Her insurance denied the full-arch restoration procedure, so she was never able to complete the treatment she needed. At 36 years old, she had no teeth, she was extremely self-conscious around her son and about participating in social events, and she was too insecure to smile or be happy.
As one of the recipients of our Second Chance program, Jaclyn received a complete full-arch restoration treatment, free of charge. She visited our office for a consultation, during which Drs. Lieblick and Rehrer performed a thorough examination and planned a detailed and individualized treatment plan. Using as few as four dental implants, they were able to provide a supportive foundation for her set of fully functional and custom-designed teeth. Her permanent denture attaches to the dental implant base and allows her to feel confident in her new smile.
As a result of her full-arch restoration treatment, Jaclyn's life has changed completely. She no longer has to hide her teeth or feel self-conscious about smiling at her son or volunteering at his school events. She can smile confidently and live her life to the fullest. She has truly gotten a second chance to live her life the way she wanted before losing her teeth.
