Helping Students Achieve Academic Goals
Beacon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons was proud to offer its second Wisdom For Wisdom program to assist a student with free wisdom teeth removal procedure so that they could save more money for college expenses. This year we are excited to be able to help Alyssa, age 19 from Milwaukie, OR, who attends Southern Methodist University.
Alyssa will enter her sophomore year in the fall. With tuition costs reaching more than $70,000 annually, she knows the Wisdom For Wisdom program will help her and her family. In her application, Alyssa said, “both my parents are local high school teachers and do so much for our community. There is currently a lot of change going on in my family. My parents recently signed a contract to teach internationally in the Congo! Although we are all very excited for this new adventure and chapter of our lives, we know that there is going to be substantial amounts of stress involved with the move and selling our house, both emotionally and financially. This program would alleviate the stress of having to pull together the funds needed for my oral surgery. Thank you so much for creating this program to provide for our community and give students like me a way to thank our parents for all the time and effort for everything they’ve already put into raising us!”
All of us at Beacon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons wish Alyssa and all of the students in our area the best in their academic endeavors!
