Going to college is more expensive than ever. At Beacon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, we want to help. Our first annual Wisdom for Wisdom program is designed to provide one deserving student with the opportunity to make their textbooks for the upcoming academic year more affordable by offsetting the cost with a free wisdom tooth extraction and stem cell banking procedure.
The application period for the Wisdom for Wisdom program is now closed.

“As a first generation college student, I know what it is like to come from a family that has struggled and have witnessed my mother and father’s stress firsthand. My parents have always instilled in me that college was not an option, and I have always viewed it that way. They also taught me that if I work hard I can overcome and do better for myself and my future family so that they don’t experience the same struggles. With that being said, attending a four-year university is expensive, and as much as my family helps when they can, it is essentially my responsibility. This has caused tremendous stress for both me and my parents at times. I know that they worry about me and wish that they could do more to help. Like college, wisdom tooth extraction is also expensive. I have watched my parents struggle to figure out how we can afford it, and this has resulted in it being delayed for a few years now because we haven’t found any solutions. It would mean so much to both me and my family, if just a little of our cost burden could be relieved. Attending Washington State University and becoming a nurse has always been a dream of mine because I will be able to help others every day. I know that this will be difficult, but like my parents always taught me, hard work can overcome any obstacle. Thank you so much for considering me.”
